Best Western University Inn Santa Clara

My breakfast experience was truly awful. They started clearing multiple items a full 30 minutes before breakfast was supposed to end, and when I asked about it, the staff were quite rude. For the price, I definitely didn't anticipate such poor breakfast quality and service. On a separate note, our room had a very strange setup with the wash basin outside the actual bathroom. Otherwise, the room was perfectly fine.

For the budget it's good enough. Property seems to be old but ok -has a motel vibe to it. Linen not quite white. Daily serviced but bedsheets are not changed. I don't know if they have been changed during my stay running into weeks. Breakfast has variety and fresh food tastes good but a lot of the variety is packaged off-the-shelf food.

This hotel is located near shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was good compared to other place in California i have been. The room was OK and was cleaned every day. The bed was kind of stiff, not a problem for me but might be for others. Gym and pool is available.

Good Location. Lot of Popular Restaurants and Stores( Target, Patel Brothers, Indian Store) around the hotel.

We really enjoy this Inn. We have stayed here 3 times and will do so again. The rooms are nice and always clean. The staff are always professional and friendly.

ROOM - 10 out of 10 SAFETY (for a single woman) - 8 out of 10 THE ROOM ITSELF : Adore mine which was NOT carpeted (yippee), had a huge closet with hangers and full length mirror, even a stand to open for your luggage, and a good sized fridge, TV, Wi-Fi.... EXTREMELY CLEAN !!! I had forgotten my bed bug spray and was horrified, but this place had me relieved... HIGH END : The hardwood floors, bed RAISED off floor with metal posts, beautiful white sheets, towels folded to look like flowers, nice dispensers in bathtub area filled with soap and shampoo / conditioner, a blow dryer . . and they even offer razors among other necessities free if you need. THE BEDS : As noted raised off the floor. Beautiful white linens. No bed bugs (my greatest nightmare sleeping in hotels).... In fact for the first time ever when I returned to my home the very next night I was actually wishing I was back in this Best Western's bed!!! They're so incredibly soft, SHEETS are spotless and fresh smelling, PILLOWS sooo soft and luscious... HEATING // AIR CONDITIONING: Excellent and quick. GYM : Woooe very nice. POOL : Looks fantastic but unheated, and was closed when I visited DEC 2025 due to broken filter. . they said could take another month or two. THE VIEW : Sadly mine was of the gym, 3 feet away. . . I recommend asking for a room with a view if you want one. PARKING LOT : Huge and you can park right next to your front door for most rooms. FREE BREAKFAST : I didn't try because I was capitalizing on their sleep-in feature where you don't have to be out until 11 am ... With those beautiful beds I slept to 10 am as my Christmas break!!!!! REASON FOR SAFETY SCORE : For some reason for years now whenever I go to hotels with doors open to the outside, men start circling like I'm an available woman -- not the fact that I'm simply visiting my mom. . This has always upset me, and so I chose this place which appeared to be in a very nice area. But once again some other guys living in the complex immeduately started circling my door talking about me. They eventually disappeared. Next time I'll tell management and leave a note here on how it's handled. That aside -- What a beautiful place ! The only thing I avoided was the couch-chair in my room; everything was so spotless except for that so wasn't sure about it ... Am I coming back? Yup!! Those beautiful beds and room call for a return test!!! But going to ask for a view ...

Stayed here for multiple weeks for work. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Excellent hot breakfast that included eggs, breakfast sausage, and potatoes.

Very nice , down to every detail. Nice room, comfy bed, big tv , fridge, microwave, keurig coffee in room. Serves breakfast free in morning.
